I am looking into a Direct trading platform to use- I am tired of the late fills, lack of attention to my portfollio ( because i don't have a 7 digits or more in the funds. ) Plus i would like to see the bid/ask spreads and execute trades. So anyone using one of the platforms; please tell me what you like and dislike about them.

The bulk of my IRA's are at Fidelity yet. But their Active Trader Pro only updates every 2 minutes, so I transferred part of my IRA to thinkorswim.com. Their thinkDesktop platform has real time quotes and real time charts. It has a trade grid that shows bid/ask waiting in the wings beyond the current ones. And it has other features that may take awhile to figure out (there are video tutorials).

You can try thinkDesktop with PaperMoney for 30 days if you sign up for an account, but until you fund the account with real money, quotes are delayed.

The account I funded at thinkorswim June 12th with about $20,000 is now over $25,000. But I have a day job yet so I have not made very many trades.

Anyone here use TradeKing ?. I'm seriously thinking in open an account there. I'm checking the subject of transfer money, i have no idea if i have to open a bank account in USA or maybe i can transfer money to TradeKing from a Bank in Peru. Well, i have to do some research about that.
