In general there are 30 or so fokes each mumph that make the "active" list. Of course 15 ov the 30 wait until the last 2 days ov da mumph to get active. It all depends on whether or not they think they have a shot at making the leaderbored.  In order to get those 10 posts in to make themselves active they will click on any discussion bored and say stuff like  "Yeah...that looks good"  |

There are over 3,000 activated users on the board right now. Activated means they have responded to the user activation email and therefore are able to log on. Of those, about 94% have logged on. So by elimination there are about 6% that have registered and activated but never logged on, so they can't participate.
Of those, about 900 have posted at least once. Roughly 1/3 or so.
Of the 3,000 activated users, about 1400 have owned at least one stock. That means that we have more shareholders than posters. 
There are a bit over 450 users that have both posted and purchased a stock. |

450 out of 3000 total that have both posted and traded probably isn't that bad. There are folks that are here to discuss stocks but don't bother with the sim. Obviously there are folks here that use the sim but don't trade.
In my experience, most boards have about 50% membership that never posts. That's true of larger boards as well as smaller. In fact, for larger boards the "lurker" percentage is often higher than 50%. Using 3000 members as the starting point I would expect to see about 1500 posting users. Instead we have about 1400 trading users, which is probably the more interesting part of this site. I don't think that's too bad. |

Well, we have been trying to increase participation. We have done quite a few link exchanges as well as paid advertising. We have also sent out 2 email reminders per month about the 10 post requirement.... I hope you received them.
I will be checking out all of May's stats and coming up with a game plan for June based on them.
We are trying!
