Since there are so many new members who want to learn investing I decided to add some links here. These are Investopedia articles which I have found useful myself.
First of all you need to decide whether you want to be a trader on an invetor. Whats the difference? A trader is a person who makes money on big gains that happen relatively fast, they use technical analysis to pick their stocks. Investing is making money on the long haul, that is buyig growth stocks like HANS on data gathered by using fundamental analysis. I am a trader myself but I am keeping my eye on some fundamentally good stocks.

Here are some articles, hope you'll find them useful.
The Importance Of A Profit/Loss Plan
How Investors Often Cause The Market's Problems
Having A Plan: The Basis Of Success
Forces That Move Stock Prices
When Fear And Greed Take Over
The Lowdown On Penny Stocks

More on technical analysis.
Charting or Charting Beta. I use Beta because it has more of everything. But if you want more than that you can buy a membership. Stock research, I posted this one just in case some people aren't yet familiar with the site.

after some reading here for the past couple days i have determined my plan may be a little reckless Embarassed i need some hindsight on "building the plan" i am looking to generate income for growth of the portfolio. the problem i have been having is when i try to generate, i degenerate Laughing
( if that doesnt make sense let me know) maybe i have an issue with picking the wrong plays for the wrong reasons or the wrong stocks for the right reasons. i like da reepers method but cant pump him too much for info Confused he is like mr mystery Confused maybe some tips could help me along with the plan here. da reeper has got me involved in some short positions that i have never done before, and he has saved me some $$$ on a bad trade so i feel he is a wise person to be threading with. any help will be much appreciated. Smile

I naturally think that article is amazing. It shows that patience and analysis can help you smash the market consistently.
