| Don't buy a house with too much landscaping, according to this real estate expert: "....Do not purchase an over-landscaped property, either. You would normally pay a premium for that, which you may not be able to recover when you sell. You will get your best value if the house is moderately landscaped or under-landscaped for the area. You can always improve the landscaping during your ownership by improving the grass and adding bushes and trees. Just do not spend too much." |

It seems that unlike paint color and curtains that a new owner may be inclined to leave landscaping how it is. If it's done well it adds to the curb appeal which I think it vital.
I don't agree with the expert on this one. You don't need ponds and waterfalls and $2,000 trees, but investing a decent amount in the landscaping on the front of the house I think will give a good return on investiment. |

| Although I love a nicely landscaped property, I wouldn't spend a bundle with expensive items. I love a clean yard. No junk, no weeds. Just the basic seems to do the trick. |

| I always hear about "curb appeal" and how important a first impression is. I think that a beautifully landscaped front yard is imortant when selling a property. |
