I wrote up a detailed article that explains how the return calculation is done. Linkage The numbers from the screen shots are real which hopefully will make the numbers easier to follow. It's a fairly long article, but I try to explain everything as it currently exists. Note that the commission issue with trading activity for the month has not been fixed on the system and therefore is not fixed on the images in that article either.

And the font is too large, compared to the rest of the site. Smile

Other than that, if you have a few moments to read and ask any questions that you might have, or point out anything that needs more detail Shocked or anything related to the article, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Font is fixed. It looks more like the rest of the site now.

I know that Im not alone in saying this, there is a noticeable difference in the way the calculation is working.

The my return link detailing your trading activities and positions, gives people a better understanding at what they are doing with their portfolio. Someone new to investing might not get it at first, but it will serve a better purpose in keeping more active users as they learn more along the way.

These changes are definitely going to have an major impact to user retention on this website. Very Happy

BTW did you get Larry, Moe and Curley's permission to use their portfolios as examples???? Wink
