The following portfolio was put together using recommendations taken from j. cramers mad money.
Each stock was purchased in 1000 lots and will be sold after reaching +15% or more depending on each stocks situation. Each one will be re-evaluated for it's performance after 18 months. Any stock losing up to 10% will be sold.

I watch mad money, take notes about what Jim Cramer has to say about his featured stocks. Then do some research on msn money, the street, marketwatch and yahoo then cull out what I think isn't going to make it.
You ALWAYS have to do research, by this I mean read, watch and listen to different sources to find out what is really going on with a company before you sink your money into it. If you don't have time to do this then utilize a stock broker Wink

I spend a minimum of 8hrs a week researching the market. You have to read all kinds of different sources of info to get a feel for what the market is doing and even then there are no quarantees Confused Cramer comes on comcast in jax.,fla. msnbc channel at 6pm and repeats at 9pm. I don't know about watching it on the internet. Very Happy

my research includes:

READING - as much as possible on the internet and main headlines
LISTENING - paying attention to a radio! (2hrs+/day)
WATCHING - Jim Cramer (3 - 4 times a week) BUT VERY CAREFULLY.

now here is the most important of all things that i do.

FOLLOW UP ON CRAMER'S PICKS.

DO NOT BLINDLY INVEST IN HIS PICKS. DO YOUR RESEARCH AND SEE WHAT HE HAS TO SAY.

Doing all of the above will make you an average investor like myself. If you can spend more time doing the above, you are indeed an awesome investor.
