I am an Illinois elementary school teacher looking to go back to school for my masters degree. Does anyone know of some resources for scholarships and grants for teachers.

On my teacher salary, I can't really afford to pay $10,000 a year to go back to school, Yet the state requires me to have continuing education. Also, if I don't have at least 10 credit hours by 10 years of teaching, my salary is capped.

Check out
http://www.fastweb.com
and
http://www.brokescholar.com

also a quick google search turned this up:
http://www.aft.org/teachers/loanforgiveness.htm#ILLINOIS

dont know if any of that would apply for you or not.

Plus check the schools that you're considering going to and see if they have anything.
