Dear admins,

I've come to the realization that the winning people usually have portfolios of very little value (usually less than 5 grand). I think if you force them to have at least 10 posts and a minimum portfolio value of 5 grand then it'll force them to both post more and diversify a little bit so that they dont just put a few hundred into a highly volatile stock (maybe require a minimum of 3 different stocks).

Let me know what you think

-Scott

EDIT: i just saw the other thread about this but ill keep the poll up anyways, also please leave suggestions if you have any

It is already setup that way now. It happend last month. The minimum is 10 post per month in order to win the prize. Maybe the front page should only display active members portfolio's? I don't know what it would take to get it done. The 5,000 is a good idea also.. Um making the minimum number of stocks to have not so hot.

We could try something for next month.

I would like to change the rankings so that it only shows people that have 10 posts in a given month. As soon as you hit 10 then *blip* you appear!

I'll try to get that working by the end of the month.

As far as a minimum amount of e$ I'm not to sure. As it stands you could just buy 1 $2 stock and hope for the best. You stand to be -40% about as much as being +40%. Anyway you wouldn't learn anything and hopefully everyone would make fun of you. Laughing

Yeah lets start making fun of the people with crummy returns. Laughing

I raked in a full .01% for November, and I'm still waiting for the poverty line award. Razz

Actually the only day I had anything in the market was the last day of the month, so you could say my results are somewhat skewed.

I dont like the 3 different stock rule. If you want only one company that should be fine.

I like the idea of adding some requirements, and I don't think making some minimum number of stocks is unfair. But to each their own, if people want to roll with only one pick I don't have a problem.

I think the top x should have their portfolios/trades revealed at the end of the month. Thats the only change I would make to the structure of the game, I want to see where people get their 35%+ returns.

I support that idea. It would be very informative for the rest of the community.
