| I was just wondering if the game takes dividends into account, not that it really matters for monetary purposes but more because some can give you a decent boost in return. |

Nope, no dividends yet.
There would be a lot of programming challenges to overcome. It is a good idea to try to add it at some point but it would be on the long list. |

I figured as much. Maybe theres a way just to show what the yield would be in your portfolio? I think it would be good to know considering some companies have yields in the 6%+ range, which (assuming its sustainable) means you have more than half the annual market return locked up.
Thats enough of a rant, I'm just kind of a dividend fan, I don't know why. |

Well, it effects how a stock is traded and everyone likes a bit more money.
Adding this will only make the simulator more realistic.
Actually I'd like to see a good article posted on dividends here because I'm sure a lot of members here have no idea how they work! Can you put it into your own words? |

if I may add a little to allah's very good statement.. Companies have two ways of adding value to their stock. A dividend, which is a direct way of returning money to the shareholders. Also with a stock buy back program which should increase the value of the company's stock. Both are a sign of a company's financial health
