It's hard to tell. I've read and watched things that have made me think yes. But we watched a special the other week and my husband and I thought it looked like one (BIG) mistake led to most of his problems. Question

I'm a disney investor and anxious to see what others have to say about Eisner. I remember way back when he first took over - everyone loved him - now everyone hates him and wants him gone. I'm not sure.

I too am a Disney investor and am closely watching this situation. Even if I weren't an investor I'd find it fascinating anyway. Wink

I'm curious to see how it all turns out in the long run.

Eisner was good in the beginning but he has stayed too long. Disney need some fresh blood,. Maybe the stock would do better.

As a stockholder, I would like to see them spend less money on their very detailed, expansive and fancy annual reports and more money in other worthwhile ventures Smile Time to turn it around gentlemen!!!

I'm not an investor, but I've worked for and around the Mouse House for a long time. Eisner did save the company from the wolves and in his first few years did well by keeping Disney on track and progressing forward. But when he let Paul Pressler in charge of the parks, it all started going downhill. Going to a Disney park nowadays isn't much different than Six Flags. The prices are in orbit because they aren't getting the same traffic. Why? Because they have forgotten, as Roy Disney said, what is Disney's legacy. The more accidents because of safety cutbacks, etc, is leading Disney into trouble. While lately Disney has done better in their film and TV departments, without Pixar, they could be in serious trouble as well. I guess we'll see when Chicken Little comes out.

Fortunately Eisner will be stepping down, but I'm not sure his replacement will be much better. He needs a creative soul in there to restir the pot. Someone like Jobs or Lasseter of Pixar, someone who understands the balance between what the people want and what the stockholders want.

Eisner needs to step down and away. If he stays on the board, then he will be the puppet master. He did good at one time, but that time is over.

Hard to say. I read the Unofficial guide on Walt's life and it had some interesting things to say about Eisner.

Eisner revived Disney, without him the parks would have gone belly up years ago. However, what you did in the past means nothing in the corporate world. Not sure if he is up to the challenge anymore of being competitive with Universal coming on strong with new high tech attractions.

I have to totally agree with ShadowWind on this one. Eisner's time is up, but are we going to see an improvement with the next in line? I don't think so.

Wouldn't it be FANTASTIC to see someone like Steve Jobs at the helm for a change?(!!!) I would certainly be excited to see this.
