I thought it came from the Rap Group Wu-Tang Clan, they would say it back in the 90's in reference to the sound a Shotgun blast made during a drive by.

That saying has been around since the 70's, it's old and stale and shows like ESPN's SportsCenter killed it to death.
A friend and I used it for whenever a badass shot was made in Basketball. |
