I bought 200 shares of VSGN at $2.11 and I see that its $2.83 and showing 31% return for me... I am still learning on this on the simulator.

If I were trading for real, wouldn't 30% return be great? for 3 days...

How high should this go?

It depends how many shares you had in it on how much of your overall portfolio was invested in that one stock.

The calculation for return is net gain (loss) / cost. Suppose you opened a position of 100 shares of stock for $10 a share. The stock goes up $1. Your gain is $100, your cost was $1,000, your return is 10%. Suppose the stock goes down $2 instead. Your gain is -200, divided by cost of $1,000, for a net return of -20%.

Nice run in VSGN today! Now that they got that out of their system I guess they can bring it back down now, huh? Laughing Actually, it looks like they may only bring it down a tad, then up through whatever the high will be (perhaps today's 2.99), then down more than a tad Very Happy

I like where MCD sits at near the upper limits tested 5 years ago. Time to break into a new range.

You know people had to stop going to Chilis Applebees and Fridays because of the gas crunch on the pocket book. So they eat at home more and visit an old friend, Ronald McDonald.

GP

You got it right. Don't know how you did it. $4.79 opening decline, unheard of!

I think the puter is broke or rigged. Earnings in an hour. Day traders prepare for my call of a $10 turn around.

Profit now or forever hold your peace.

I think the bets are all based on the close SP. I forgot about what our bet was, I guess I'll just mosey on over to the Reaper challenge board to check. I know that cwing has to be getting worried about FPL though. Very Happy

Just in case anyone wants to start playin for fun and e$ this week, I'll get it started, my pick meets all of the rules for entry, I'll run with SQNM at a pending target price of .55, that means it must hit that price for me to gain entry into the run for the e$, time to get this thing going since there are so many stocks that are becoming such great plays right now, no e$ will be awarded unless we get at least 4 more players, e$ will be awarded to the top 1,2, or 3 players that end up with a qualified pick acoording to the rules as long as we get 5 people to play, so c'mon people! even if you mess up and your pick losses 20% for the week, finish in the top 3 and you still make e$!! it's better than trading the markets in real $$$!!! Laughing
