Seems like this forum is new.. Anyways, let me introduce myself like everyone else..
I'm 21 years old, senior in college.. major in bio/clinical health and a minor in chem. In the real estate market, and work for ameriquest. I just recently got interested in the market because my gf is a econ major and talks about the market all the time.. I cant let her get the upperhand! Very Happy
Anyways.. How do I begin to build a portfolio? and is scottstrade better than sharebuilder? give me some insight as I know only a minute amount of info about the market.. thanks

(Korean?)

I think the best way to look at the differences between Scottrade and Sharebuilder is to look at their fee structures:

Scottrade Commission
Buy Stock: $7
Sell Stock: $7

Sharebuilder Commission
Buy Stock $4
Sell Stock: $15

Scottrade may seem like the clear winner, but if you employ a dollar cost averaging strategy, Sharebuilder is a far better choice.

Thats when the site was created, but we didn't officially launch till about mid Feb.

The $50 prize has been going on since about June or so. First it was a $10 prize while we were testing it out.

In the beginning you could by any stock or option 24 hours a day and some people were up over 1000% in a couple days.

Actually Blackfox had almost as much e$ as the admin. (I think at one point he had more!) Shocked

What interest does Scottrade pay on its cash core account? The money I am investing is IRA/Roth IRA, so I cannot just move cash in and out of an account when I feel like it.

Fidelity is currently paying 3.44% on core cash. Although, I currently get charged $19.95/trade, next year my balance will qualify for $10.95 (or maybe $8 if I trade often enough). Just practicing with $20k seed money until a bigger IRA CD expires next year. And one thing the recent dips are drilling into me is to keep some cash on hand for buying opportunities.

SI I love dat ranting smily face you have. Too bad you were wrong. Laughing

The first time I seen it was in your rant on the reap.

Funny after I asked the ? I checked his join date & figured it probably did not launch instantly. Thanks for your feedback though.

Wait a minute though lets talk more about 1000% returns dat is wat were after anyway.

Eia we think your obligated to devulge the options picks that got that kind of a return. Please. Wink
