Basicallly ING is an online savings acount... You can't have access to your money within a day but the way it is setup you could ahve it as soon as 3 days but at most 5. Thsi si withdraws... Personnally i can't see why someone wouldn't open an account with them as it is FDIC insured and the return is great at 2.35%
When you make a deposit it has to stay there for 5 business days after that you can withdrawl it if you want. all of the transactions are done online... you can setup one time deposits, recurring deposits on certain days weeks or months... It is a great account. |

| Just a reminder too, you can refer your kids and receive the $10 for you/ $25 for them ~ even though they will actually be part of your adult account. Kids love it and it's free money! |

| I use my account to save for our Disney trip. I signed all four of my sons up for it. They each received $25 and I made $10 for referring each of them. |

I signed up the other day and tomorrow I am going to sign up my husband and sons. We have not been saving like we should and we want to set a better example for our sons. And besides, I've always wanted a Swiss bank account. |

| And for those of you who are not "ebank" phobic, I found on another forum a link for another online bank called Emigrant, I believe. They are currently paying 3% on savings accounts with no minimum. ING is only currently offering 2.35%! Worth looking into. |

I am planning on checking out the website later. But, in short, ING accounts are online savings accounts which pay interest? Do you have to put money into the account each week/month or is it when you decide to add to the account?
Thanks for the anticipated info! |

| You put money in whenever you feel like it. You can also set it up to make an automatic transfer from your checking account each week or month. That is what we intend to do because it will more likely get done that way. |

I signed up for ING recently with just $5. I have referals if anyone needs one let me know!
I am surprised at how many people are against it just because it is "online". These are people that do shopping online, ebay, etc. |

At first I was really skeptical about saving my money through ING, but it seems so many people have done so already without problem. Looks like I finally need to go over there and get it done. I have a question though. I will probably be opening 4 accounts, one for me, and 3 for my sons. If I get a referral from someone do they get credit for all 4 accounts, or just the main account that I open?

Dana,
If you get a referal the person gets $10 for you. Then you sign up and get $25 plus you then have referals you can send. So if you sign up kids you get 10 for each of them PLUS they get $25 for each of their accounts.
I would be happy to send you the referal link. Just send me a private message with your name and email.
