What are some great investment/trading accounts for beginners?
I'm interested in starting a trading/ investment account, but I'm new to online trading. What are some great resources to help me get started, and what are some suggestions for accounts I should open to start my investing journey. I'm ideally looking for something with lower fees, and a low initial/ monthly minimum.

| By investing in penny stocks with a good growth potential, an investor can change his small fortune of a hundred dollars into thousands of dollars rather quickly. Penny stocks prove to be good for small and first time investors who are likely to study trends of the market and would like to invest a small amount since they have just entered the market. By learning from penny stocks, they can then move on to buying shares of other companies too. Penny stocks are capable of growing fast in a short time while on the other hand, the Penny Stocks picks service companies can vanish in a few days. Therefore, buying penny stocks is like buying a double-edged sword. |

| Penny stocks refer to trading in shares, which range from a fraction of an actual penny to $5. They have a tremendous reward potential but can prove to be riskier than others. The main reason why they are risky is that since many penny stocks have risen from just 25 cents to 20 dollars, there are others that have become worthless. penny stocks picks by Affordable Stocks also proved to be risky as companies did not provide detailed information on penny stocks and also, information about the companies itself. |

Jackward49- Be careful my friend...I watched gold go to $800+ and then drop all the way back into the low $300's. Stocks are not the only thing that's volatile. |

| The terms penny stocks picks by Affordable Stocks and "micro cap stocks" can be used interchangeably. Technically, micro cap stocks are classified as such based on their market capitalizations, while penny stocks are looked at in terms of their price. Definitions vary, but in general a stock with a market capitalization between $50 and $300 million is a micro cap. (Less than $50 million is a nano-cap.) According to the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) any stock under $5 is a penny stock. Again, definitions can vary, some set the cut-off point at $3, while others consider only those stocks trading at less than $1 to be a penny stock. Finally, we consider any stock that is trading on the pink sheets or over-the-counter bulletin board (OTCBB) to be a penny stock. |
