I'm not sure this is the best place to post this topic but I found it to be the best for this topic. Anyway the thing is that:
even if you can only save a few dollars a week, you can -- and should -- still invest.

Many people think they'll never join the investing set. They assume they don't have enough money to start. But, investing isn't just for the rich. If you have just $20 or $30 per month to invest in stocks, you can do so, thanks to dividend reinvestment plans ("Drips").

The only reason you need a lot of money is because of the commissions. The commissions kills your profit unless of course you find a very cheap broker...

That's right, I started off with about 550 bucks on my account and it's really difficult to make a profit. However, I have gained about 2% Very Happy .

Now you can purchase the first share and every share via DRIPS. You can have all, part, or none of your dividends reinvested into even more shares. If you invest regularly, even small amounts add up over time. This gives everyone - rich, poor, or in between, the opportunity to take part and grow their dream.

It is the commision that kills. Hopefully with the advances in online trading and automated trading, commissions will continue to drop, opening the market for small portfolio players.
