It is a genuine fact that, though the gifted brain of human has led to numerous developments and is still a foundational stone for many more developments to come, man is always inclined towards his past. Old is always valued by man to a great extent and he holds it dearer sometimes more than anything else. It is rather evident from his love for old things whether it is the song of the great legend Kishore Kumar or the 1987 model Benz car, everything points towards one thing and that is, his love and respect for his culture and customs which on every aspect is old and bear the heritage of the glorious past which has gifted him with a number of soothing memories and now has acquired a part of the same developed brain.
This love for culture and custom has also been extended in the building of new houses as well. If we look out for the same, we will come to know that those buildings which are considered to be the most beautiful and prestigious in the world are basically old buildings. The White House, Rastrapathi Bhavan, Taj Mahal, and the leaning Tower of Pisa, are some of the living exemplars to substantiate the subconscious love oh human for his culture.
Man though unable to built the same exemplars once again, is trying his level best to maintain the same beauty in his newly built houses in the best possible way, within his limitations. Thus for the building the same, the builders are required to design the house accordingly. His attempts to maintain the antiqueness in this modern world and with modern materials leads towards luxury. Thus a Custom Luxury Home Builder has a double responsibility as the house demands the reflection of the past but at the same time should be modern as well. This is further evident from the attempt to build the Taj Mahal once again at Bangladesh by the custom luxury home builders for the Bangladeshi film maker Ahsanullah Moni. |

| We think the old houses (and other things) had a better quality only because the cheep old ones already fell apart and disapeared. The quality ones lasted. So anyone who thinks they don't build them like they used to should say it as a compliment to the modern builders. For those who build with a quality and also with the modern features (Home wiring, Car Airbags etc.) New is not always better but it can be. |

Yes, Joshua, you're right. My wife and I have always bough the 1900-1930's houses, because we liked the heavy timbers, etc.
HOWEVER
We recently got caught in a short fuze move for my employer, and wound up buying a brand new home. I had serious doubts....until I started getting my electric bill, gas bill, etc. I miss the heritage of the older homes, but I'll tell ya'....these new ones sure save a buck!
We're close to retirement, and will most likely move home to our home state....but this little house we have is doing it's job just fine in the mean time. |
