Does anybody have any opinions on what direction the home mortgage rate is going with this news of the bail out? I'm forced to refinance soon to get a name off of the title of my house and I'm starting to think I should lock in right now. The last I looked the rate is 5.87%

i wouldn't fuss too much about that rate, maybe you could find one around 5.7 or so, check bankrate.com -- but i wouldn't wait too long, it could easy go back up... though the housing market is not supposed to truly bottom until sometime next year

I think I cracked the code and know what this means. Laughing

If anyone is interested it means the stock market will crash on 12-21-2012. That is if ya all go by the Mayan Calendar like I do.

If you are an investor with a lot of money to invest, you can buy Treasuries ten years of reliable performance, but low, or invest in mortgage securities are backed by the government and provide a better return on investment.
