I'm pretty sure this was Grim. Although this says he died April 30th 2007, I believe he still lives on.

Ewwww....! Was that a sour grapes entry or what? Laughing Mr Frusnak, I'm sure you remember that this man has been in office a few weeks, while Mr Bush(ed) had 8 years. It's like abusing a huge machine, racing it to maximum RPM, for 8 years, then asking the mechanic to fix it all in a few weeks. The reality factor just isn't there. Wink

If we in fact paid for all of the frivolous foolishness that we have been involved in for the last 8 years, we'd be studying pictures of MAO, and speaking Chinese. If not for those folks...this boat woudn't float at all.

I think President Obama may be saying to himself "Be careful what you ask for, you might get it"....every time he walks into the oval office.

For me...I feel sorry for him. He gets to take the hit for straightening out the biggest foul up in history. Folks had the RIGHT to overspend on housing. Folks had a RIGHT to overspend on their vehicles. Folks had a RIGHT to run charge card balances to the moon. And now....they have the RIGHT to lay in the bed they made. If I am going to "save" them from their stupidity...then perhaps a few of their other rights need to be constrained. Maybe they'll appreciate what they have, and start doing the right things to get them back. In historical times, if you didn't pay your bills, you were sold into slavery. I'm not saying we should go THAT far...but if they lose their $375,000 house that they bought on a $50,000 income....and the bank was dumb enough to finance it....

That's between them. I see no reason for you, me, or the president to get involved. That's business, and business is about providing a product at a profit. If they failed to meet either part....that's on them....not the President. They deserve to fail.

While I firmly believe in the law of supply and demand, I believe right now if the U.S. took the direct impact of all their collective stupidity, our country would be bankrupt financially...as well as morally and ethically as it already is.

So blame it on the President if you wish. For me, "Accounting Day" has come for alot of folks, and I'm just watching. "Even as ye sow, so shall ye reap". Sad

I don't blame anyone for our countries current condition except we the people who keep electing the same old song and dance. Sure "O" appears different Wink but watch and see who gets taken care of during his rein! Twisted Evil

You are absolutely correct Sir, each person who enters the Oval Office has outstanding "debts" and obligations. However, I retain hope here, as I judge a tree by it's fruit. In this case we have a family with good values, grandma's taking care of the grandkids, Momma's helping Dad, and so on. Much like my family...except I don't have those degrees Laughing Now, is it a "front"? I don't know for sure, but I don't think so.

This is our first African American president. I'm hoping that his direction is that which best benefits America, as he is establishing a place in history that can be referred to by ALL people, black and white or any other color. He's writing history, and I'm pretty sure he knows it Wink
