i would say, first do some research on trading, watch the business channel for the in and outs of daily trends, and setup a play account on here.

check up on the forums here whenever you can... i wouldn't jump in with real money until your convinced you know what your doing, and last don't let emotions control you, don't fall in love with any one of your stocks- those will leave you heartbroken.

see you around, and have fun.

Hi frnd !!

Since you are new to trading.... I suggest you to try trading with play money before actually investing your real money

Dont risk you hard-earned money.. So first try with play money

GnuTrade
is a excellent trading platform and here you can learn trading with play money

Even I was a beginner and I used this trading platform and I'm cool with Gnutrade..

Join me there...My username is boo at gnutrade.

so does gnutrade pay you for signups or just for clicks or both?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

what is that? i don't even really understand this right. this is like some kinda of stock gambling, social networking thing...

i must say i am intrigued, but the system seems to really dumb down the whole process-- plus how does that betting thing work? can you only do short positions on this thing, like options trading-- it seems you don't actually own the stocks, your just making bets on it's movement... is this correct?

well, one bad note- if you live in the US, then this would be illegal to do with the real money portion, mainly for the fact that they actually use the word "bet" in their description- the play money account would be legal, but you couldn't receive any profit if other bet on your portfolio.
