| Any time you put money away for any reason, it is considered savings. It doesn't matter whether you are putting it into a 401k, and IRA, a CD, or a savings account. |

| yeah, that is true, but at the same time not so much-- only those who are currently depending on that money are affected that much... if that is the case then they were already in the wrong investments for this phase of their life. for the majority of us this is now a buying opportunity- prices are lower and in the next five years should be back close to the former high and maybe even higher. if you are nearing your retirement age you will have to adjust your investments- though you will probably have to wait a bit longer- if not then you did lose a lot. |

Yep, I'm down 70% YTD.... But, I still have 40 years to make that up. I really do hope that the market makes a recovery by then!  |
