I keep hearing that one of the most important financial decisions you can make for now.... and retirement.... is making sure you have an up-to-date will that dictates how your estate will be handled after you're gone. This is especially important if your household income, after all your assets are sold including house, equals $600,000 or more.
How many of you have a will? |

| This is one of the items on our "to-do" list. Not only the will, but guardianship papers in the event something happens to us so we can be sure our children end up where we want them to be. Sad, it's just one of those things that get put on the back burner. |

| I think I am too young for a will rite now. I am only 16. Maybe when I am 40 I will go and make a will. |

Do you have to name a guardian at the time of your will? If so, this makes the whole thing even harder. It's tough to decide who would be the best caretaker of your children ~ and then ask them if they'd do it. |

| We have a will. It needs updating as our children are all over 18 as of this year so do not need the guardian section. If you have children make a will. Having all your assests accounted for will make distribution of your estate quicker and easier on your children. They will be grieving, why make things more difficult for them, the loves of your life. |

| We have a will. We paid a lawyer about $250 a couple of years ago. It was more for the guardianship issue of our kids. I think though that it's very important for even young couples to get a will. Anyone ever used one of those will kits you can buy for like $20? Just curious... |

| We have a will but after my husband's mother died recently we found out how important updating your will is. Her will wasn't updated since 1997 and so much had changed in the family since then. The bad news- it was her last will and so that is what the courts will have to go buy. |

| Even if you don't have a $6000,000+ estate, You should have a will. Some states will rip-off your heirs without one. Check it out. |

| Yes, everyone should have a will, especially if you have any dependents. |
