GE is the parent compuny fer CNBC. GE was about ta go into a death dive so CNBC came out and announced dat CEO Jeff Ieomelt wassa buying shares personally. GE shoulda, coulda, woulda bin trading fer about $15 dallahs back after 9/11....but since the former CEO (Jack Welch) is pawt ov da "secrut society" dey cudn let it happen....so GE wassa one o'da ones they saved and the Jack Welch wassa able to retire lookin like a hero....he even wrote a book er 2 about how great he is uh huh. Well, Jeff Ieomelt has been on a buyin spree since he took over....buyin up a bunch ov crappy companies and payin waaaaaay to much for em. Da windup? GE will be trading balow $34 by this time next week....and it will eventually trade back balow $20. Why? Arrow Cuz ya can't hide da trooth from da mawkets....dat's why. Wink

Let me get this straight - you're saying that all things equal, GE becomes a teenager?

I find that hard to believe. Please, Grim, explain.

I like Jeff Immelt, and think he gave a really good interview on CNBC the other day... but I have no idea about the level of information he had.

And FYI, your "March 2003" rule implies GE sees "only" the mid-$20s.

Shocked Rolling Eyes I think "they" shoulda, coulda, woulda let GE git back down dere anna retest dat low back in 2003....jist ta see if Jack's new ticker wuz "werkin properly"...but nooooo....a stankin war had ta break out. Sutton ta do wit wepons ov mass destruckshun ifn I remembah correcktly. So fer they hasn't found any....and tanks God fer dat! ...although I'm wreckin bidness wud be bettah fo GE ifn dey found Obama or 2 insted ov arrestin kids off Jootube cause dey came up wit a plot ta bring planes outta da sky over da Atlantic ocean. They had ta let dem kids go...mosta dum anyhoo. Does any ov da yungsters post commentary at "Frathouse Flunkies?"....ahhh...never mind. Rolling Eyes BTW, ifn you anna Jack Welch went horseback riding and Jack got stuck on his horse....wud you help Jack off his horse?....jist wonderin. Rolling Eyes Laughing
