| Another way to save which has helped me alot is saving all of my change in an old 5 gallon water bottle. I have been able to accumulate quite a bit that way. |

I always have a coin collection going! Filling a five gallon bucket all the way (You might not be able to move it), I'm sure there would be $3,000 or more in there!
Just filling a coffee can (No pennies) usually yields $170-$300. Try to keep your pennies in a different container. Coffee Can filled with pennies is only like $10-$15!
Make sure to take it to your bank and they will usually count it for free. You can pay 8%+ on your change on those coin-star machines at the grocery store. |

Others have some limit on the sorting they'll do. Rather than having the bank wrap the coins for you, why not have them immediately deposit into your account? Then the interest starts. In fact, you might as well empty out that coffee can whenever you actually do go do the bank. |

| My local Kroger supermarket has a big machine that counts your loose change and issues you a store credit receipt. Use this for some groceries and 'reimburse' yourself out of the grocery money. It's really quick and easy. |

The problem with most grocery store coin counting machines is the fee that is imposed for using that service. Companies like CoinStar charge up to 8.9% just for counting your coins! My suggestion is the check with your local bank to see if they will do it for free. I know that Commerce Bank (NJ, NY, PA, DE, CT) has a coin counting machine (Penny Arcade) which will count coins for no fee whatsoever. The best part: You do not even need to be a customer of the bank! |

| I don't usually use the coin machines because of the fee. I get free rollers from the bank or buy a huge pack of them at the $ store for a dollar. If I really don't have the time to roll everything- I at least roll the quarters and leave the pennies for the change machine. |

| At the rate the dollar is dropping, by the time you fill a 5 gal water jug with pocket change, you should end up with cash valued at about $2.17 in buying/Saving power. |

I just bought a little bank or count counter from walmart. I love saving change, but I can never make it past $30 without spending it.  |

I chew gum like some people smoke cigs so i always have a ton of change laying around. I just rolled about $288 worth  . im just curious. What do you guys usually spend your rolled coins on? I'm puttin mine towards a 360. |

Banks just love people that hoard coins!
I use to go to the bank and buy rolls of coins and look through them for valuable ones then sell those for a profit. They frown on that also. |
