Here are my and my friend's combined thoughts on it...
Microsoft's Bid for Yahoo

Also, I'll give 50,000 e$ to anyone who comes up with a good analysis of the deal and posts it here.

I'll also wager nobody comes up with anything good, because actual useful discussion of important investment topics is antithetical to this site. Laughing Rolling Eyes

Well, a useful discussion was antithetical to this site...but that was when TOL was at 29.75. The clown that called DA BOTTOM at dat price hardly ever visits anymo however....so Cramer took over and tried to "pick off" DA BOTTOM on TOL...twice so fer! Laughing Of course dat means it'll put in a new 52 week low. Wink Noooow, on to MSFT/YHOO....basically ifn I was a YHOO shareholder I would take the offer in cash becuz if the YaHOO's decide to take da offer in MSFT stock they will be veeeery sorry. Crying or Very sad Why? Well, even though MSFT is gonna rally briefly mit the general mawket rally I'm puttin tagether into Fri (at most)....MSFT will end up being a sub $20 stock afta I'm dunn spalunkin it....kinda like I spalunked you n TOL there, Donut Boy. Laughing BTW, you kin keep yer funny money...I ainna init fer da funny muny. Wink

Aha!...in me "o-rigi-nailed the outlook bafo da mawkets saw it comin" post I said dat YaHOOs wud be stoopid NOT ta take da offer in cash. So what'd they do?...they decided da oraffer twasn't high enough! Shocked Laughing So all Bill Gates has gotta do now is say "Fa-Q" to da YaHOO's and MSFT stocks gits da bump me said it was due....which basically makes droppin da bid fer YHOO a muuuuuch bettah strategery fer gettin MSFT stock price ta rise than actually buying a future $8 stock like YHOO fer $31 dallahs....which basically means Bill Gates shud be lissnen ta me in da foist place. Cool Of course since the "real" WB already comes heeeya to see what I gotsta say...he probly relayed my messuge ta Billy boy. Wink As a sidenote: This "should be" ganews fer Dubya B's funny money port right cheeeya in Landovthesilent.bomb since he sho nuf sho nuff "should have" MSFT long in e$....I mean...the neggy 5% or so mumphly return matches up purty GOOG...no? Confused Let's find out on Mon...shall we? Dubya B, as always I will do me best to rescue even you!...OVTI n TOL will be 2 prime examples o'dat goin forward. In regards to OVTI in perrticular....DO NOT GIT GIDDY TILL I SAY SO! Yes! That WAS a false breakout to $20+...but ya kin average down now since you will only add anudder 30% or so ta losses. Wink Embarassed Very Happy
