Hello everyone,

Anybody have their summer favorites yet? I was expecting Batman Begins would be mine, but I was a lil let down by Christian Bale. When he put on that batsuit it looked as if his face was too big for the mask and it seems that he tried way too hard to sound threatening. I just don't think Batman should have a lisp. On the other hand Michael Keaton did a great job, but I think it was his eyebrows that did it for me. *flap flap*

Batman Begins was good.

A surprise for me was Mr. and Mrs. Smith. I'm not the type of film critic that looks for hidden meanings, fabulous acting, and perfect direction... I simply want to be entertained. Smile

Movies I liked:
Batman Begins
Star Wars III
Mr. and Mrs. Smith

Movies that sucked:
Bewitched

Movies I'm looking forward to seeing:
Fantastic 4
Serenity (coming this fall)

Movies I'm planning to skip:
Stealth
War of the Worlds

BTW, I personally think that Michael Keaton was the best Batman to date. When I first heard about his casting, I was a bit Shocked . But the thing is, it's not like Superman Wink... Batman was never a "super" hero, he was a man with a mission. And lots of money. And lots of very cool toys. That was one of my favorite parts of Batman Begins was watching the evolution of the various pieces of equipment that he would use...

Yes, Mr. and Mrs. Smith was an unexpected surprise. In Batman Begins I also enjoyed how they went into the gadget and weapons detail. The suit was pretty nifty.

Last few movies I saw:

Batman Begins - Thumbs up
Star Wars III - Thumbs up
Mr. and Mrs. Smith - Thumbs up
Bewitched - bearable, but bring a date
War of the Worlds - overhyped - You'll be disappointed

Nah, don't bother. Rent it later. Or even better, watch the trailer. That's where most of the good parts are anyway.

I won't, 'cause I never intended to go see it. Smile It just didn't do anything for me... not the idea of the movie, nor any of the trailers that I saw for it. Just not interested.
