It's impossible to agree with "u all" because we all have said different things. Wink

I'll say Arkansas will beat LSU at the end of the year. So no one should worry about LSU playing for the SEC Championship much less the National Title.....Arkansas 31-LSU- 17....put it down as if it was already written.....my word is GOLD!!!!!

Can I get a refund on my last deposit then? Laughing

I don't see Arkansas beating LSU, they couldn't beat Alabama, and LSU is a far more complete team than Alabama.

Final score was LSU 28, USC 16. The game was a lot closer than most of us expected. The guesses that were the closest were:

Code:
bayeauxguy      LSU 34  USC 10
NCSUPAGE        LSU 28  USC 7

baueayguy missed LSU's score by 6 and USC's by 6 for a total of 12 points off. NCSUPAGE got LSU exact and missed USC by 9.

On the other hand, baueauxguy had a total points of 44, and there were 44 total points scored, so he was exactly correct. NCSUPAGE was still off by 9. Since I didn't establish what the exact rules were for picking the closest score (didn't need to last week) I will pay out e$10,000 to each of these two this week. Next week I will state what the rules are in the case were two people (or more) are close.

So to both of you, good call, and thanks for playing. Cool

I'm going to try to move around the country and conferences with this game just to add some variety. You know I'll be coming back to LSU in a few weeks when Florida comes to town. Wink

The pick for this next week could be interesting. USF is a newcomer to the rankings, and they showed it was deserved with a victory over North Carolina by the score of 37 - 10. Next week USF (who will likely move up a few spots from their current spot at 23) plays West Virginia, currently ranked #5. USF won last year at West Virginia, this year WVA visits USF. So, will the Bulls ride the Mountaineers? Or will it be the other way around?

Pick your winner and the score for your chance to win e$10,000 to play on the board here.

Two weeks ago there was an obvious winner. Last week was a little more interesting, and I actually paid off two winners because I had not set up the math as to who would win if there was no obvious winner. So here's how the scores will be judged.

I will take your guess for each time and determine the absolute value of the difference between your guess and the real score, and will do that for both teams. I will ad those values up. The person that has the lowest number will win.

For example, if the final score of a game is 21 - 20, and someone has picked 22 - 19 and someone else picked 20 - 17, the math works out like this:

22 - 19 compared to 21 - 20 is 1 + 1 or 2 total points off.
20 - 17 compared to 21 - 20 is 1 + 3 or 4 total points off.

The person that picked 22 - 19 wins.

If two people have the same point offset then the person with closest number to the winning team's score wins. So if two people guess 22-19 and 21-18 :

22-19 compared to 21-20 is 1+1 or 2 total
21-18 compared to 21-20 is 0+2 or 2 total

Both were off by 2 points, but the second person got closer to the winning team's score and therefore they win. Hopefully that's not too confusing. Hopefully it will let me avoid a tie. Shocked

If someone gets the score exactly correct I will double the payout to e$20,000.
