There are always downsides to each technology and I think that's the largest part of the problem with all the new ones is trying to figure the problems out before investing too much time or too many resources.

Yeah, don't do like I did when I first came to this site and lose your *$$ in the sim by investing too quickly - thankfully I knew better than to get anywhere near the real markets before figuring out what I was doing (That and I don't have the cash to do anything like that yet).

i have tried to get into some wind energy and other alternative energy stocks and they have strange ticker symbols and this site won't let me purchase them.....why is that?
