I have always been partial to throwing a dart at a board with the NYSE or NASDAQ stock listing clipping over it. That seems to work on average (after fees and commissions) about as well as 70% of the mutual fund managers' results.

that rally in gold seems to be going nowhere... personally not into gold investing-- now i wouldn't mind finding some gold... Wink or diamonds, i tried that once in Arkansas, but, it's mostly just a gimmick seems the place has been combed through pretty well.

Yeah, same here in Montana buddy. Once upon a time...the mines were booming. Now, there's two pit mines in my county....and they're living hand to mouth.

There's folks that "seed" the creeks and then charge the tourists by the head to pan it back out. Ok if you're into Ben Gay, but way too much work for a few flecks. By the size of the equipment I see, and all the supporting machinery....coupled with all the regulation....I don't think I'd like to try to earn my living that way Wink

Is this good logic or dart-tossing? I learned (legally) while doing stock research on financial sites that the CFO of a viable company with a good reputation recently bought 50,000 shares of the company's stock. I figured he must know more than I know, and when a screen turned up the same stock, I jumped in -- not for 50,000 shares, but a nice amount. Is this good logic or just dart-tossing?
