Or you know anyone that does? If you do, I'm interested in some stats like hrs per week spent on the site, costs, profits, margins, etc.

I'm thinking of starting up a side business on Ebay.

I don't have an ebay business, but the nice thing about it is you pretty much have traffic built-in. One of the hardest things about starting an online business is building traffic, but ebay has millions visiting a day.

Whatcha thinking about selling?

I believe that the challenge with eBay is not getting lost in those millions of visitors each day. Smile You have to come up with something unique as well as something you're able to sell.

That I'm not sure. I have a friend who buys old antique stuff from garage sales and thrift stores. She's the type that'll watch the antique road show. She'll buy a tea cup for $3 and sell it on Ebay for $50.

Recently, I've been selling promo goods on Ebay. The local movie theater was giving out free Star Wars posters: (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=60420&item=7526532852)
I took 'a bunch' Mr. Green and put them up on Ebay. So far, I've made $150 gross sales, with profits after costs at about maybe $90 or so. I still have a small stack left. I'm waiting for Fantastic 4 or Spiderman 3 to come out. More free money for me!

But aside from taking advantage of freebies like that, I'm just exploring my options and possibilities of making money of Ebay. I just want to know if anyone did this before and what their experiences were.
