FSLR made another new high today, up a whopping 11%.

Cramer wrecked it on Th....I said give it 2 days. Today is the third day. In disclosure I put it up as a chort yesterday at 57.85. I'll settle for a quick 10% ...

You aren't still shorting FSLR, are you?

Oh yeah. I made an adjusto yesterday however. I entered chort 350 shares total...ALL before the gapup that took it to the $119+ high! Shocked Laughing What's even werser is dat I was restricted from adding to the position at the high becuz da funny money game I'm trackin it at woan letya put no mo than 25% of yer entire port into any 1 stock. Sad I would have certainly added at the trend high....which happens to be da 52 week high. Since I feel the 52 week high'll go bye bye is why I decided to take 100 shares off yesterday at $109.55ish. FSLR can just as easily fall sub $90 as it kin rally to a new high. I plan on makin me next adjusto abov $120....or balow $95....I gots da bloated pig "surrounded" so ta speak. But I'll be back....oooooooh....I'lllllll be BACK! Laughing Did ya notice who XSNX is gettin all "antsy" agin as it dropped close to da tirties? Confused Did you notice how WWAT made it to $2 dallahs? Shocked Did you know you will suffer da same fate wit WWAT as ya did wit XSNX when it wassa abov $2 and ya said it would never break balow there agin? Very Happy

I shorted FSLR today at $106. Forward P/E of nearly 100 and a PEG ratio in the mid 3's. Couple that with a peaking chart, and you got a recipe for disaster...

FSLR is a very dangerous stock to short right now given it's recent history. With a new ipo, you can't simply judge the stock by it's PE ratio.

FSLR closed at 120 today. Ouch. Shorting FSLR right now is s recipe for disaster. It might be a good short someday, but today is not the day to short it.

I hope you're still not holding on to your short position. $170 was the last trade I saw in after hours today.

Anybody watch Cramer today and his green day opening talk?

All my other positions in my portfolio are falling as the US stock market is crashing, but FSLR is holding up nicely. I may sell everything else I own, but hold on to FSLR.

Hey Grim. If you're still holding onto your short position, you can have my $25 that I won for the best percentage gain in November. You're going to need that money more than me. Smile

XSNX is back in the spotlight. A 60% gain today and a 1.50 price target from a prominent analyst make this my solar stock pick for this week.

I've been holding XSNX for a while and been losing on it big time. Good to hear some good news about it but today it is down 9%

I just wish it goes back to $2.15 but if the price target is only $1.50 then I might just have to sell it at that price.

As for a better solar play...i prefer LDK now that they are free of accounting issues.

Here be my personal take on da solars fer 2008. I would chort and hold FSLR, WFR, and JASO at these levels and it is questionable if any of them will even get a good enuff rally to chort into. But a retest of the highs would werk. Wink I am playing CSUN long as a hedge agin both WFR n FSLR which I will hold. ESLR, SOLF and CSUN will take out recent highs at sometime in da future. I know for a fact that sometime over 2008 CSUN and SOLF will both be $14 stocks....and eventually ESLR will trade below $5. Very Happy I still like XSNX because at least they have a product fokes can use in their homes "if" we are given the opportunity to conserve on energy consumption through tax breaks. Giving da consumer some muny to make their homes energy efficient would do alot more to alleviate the subprime mtg concerns that trying to solve dat mess wit smoke n mirrors and alot of money wasted on da crooks who perpetrated da scam in da foist place....which is GS, LEH, C, WM, etc, etc. Rolling Eyes Oh yeah...I think XSNX will "triple bottom" near .25ish...hopefully it'll git there quick wit a nice sound wave of profut taking in the "solar fantasy" seckter early in 2008. Cool
