I dropped my chort in MDR and replaced it wit RIO taday. Same basic seckter. My MDR trade was actually an "add" to a chort in which I entered lower....and then averaged into my loss. I banked a small gain from the rally through 90. I think the high will be taken out so I will wait to make the adjusto. I entered RIO at 52.10 fo da foist time. I also added to my PCU and my FWLT chorts today near the highs fo taday. Both o'dem are looooong term plays. Very Happy I bet even poor Dougie Katz coverd his chort on FWLT today.....looka dat move from 2:30 on....hilarious! Laughing

Here is an article I got the other day talking about RIO and a few other large-cap stocks from down in South America. http://collegeanalysts.com/?p=46

Also, I was wondering if Grim could make another "this is the top" call on mining stocks, because I'm itching to try and press FCX past the 50% gain point... you know, try to justify a $110 target and whatnot. Wink

It's "very close" to a top ifn ya wanna measure inflayshun in commodititty stocks by da HUI goldbugs index. There are a few tops that need to be confirmed wit higher highs...like the one I wreckd at da HUI bored Arrow SA. I banked a 10% gain on a chort even though I chorted too early, 26.87. I've been playing da rally to confirm dat top ova heeeya in "SIM" time da past few days but I will be switchin to "chort n hold" as soon as 26.90 go bye bye. Wink I think da numba on da HUI be 359.38. It almost confirmed that high wit a higher high the very next day...but only made it to 359.34....almost as close as Gugs came to gettin outta PDEX wit a gain. Sad I think "percentagewise"....da HUI even came closer than Gugs! Very Happy

I can remember when RIO bought North , the head of Orica at present , ran it then .
He squeezed the best takeover price for the shareholders , but now it looks like BHP will get RIO on the cheap if they're lucky .

Looking at RIOs chart there's not much downside risk on it , it looks as though it has a piece of upside left to go yet . I've got it projected at somewhere around $160-$180 AUD .
