what would be a good way to start out on 'the market'?
A little bit from a large prosperous corporation or take a big chunk out of something small time with much cheaper stock? And, then keep researching till I find my cash cow?
Thanks.
*edit* Im talking about real investment, not the game here. |

For real life and starting small:
My best investments have been buying little chunks of big stable companies and leaving them alone.
An example, buying MSFT (Microsoft) and KO (Coke) at this time last year.
Buying lots of small stocks can be fun and entertaining, but they almost always will eat up all your money It's just like a casino, maybe once in a great while you'll come out ahead but most of the time you leave with nothing. Doesn't mean it wasn't fun though. But if you are just starting out, it can be really discouraging. |

| What is a good starting amount? Not much money, so would it be better to open an account .. build up some funds then start with the research and trading or to jump in no matter the amount you have? |

My advice is to stay out of the market and just invest in real estate, at least for the next few years |

Yeah, not a good time for the housing market. I'm talkin about land not houses, just land, you can never go wrong on owning land, its all about location. Land owners will rule.... |

That's the age old debate, can you actually own land? A land barron like yourself might think so but in reality you can only turn a profit on claim that you have. It's like blood money. (just razzing you btw |
