I mostly just use this site to get used to watching stocks and seeing the market until I think I'm ready for the real thing.

3 major ways to learn stocks:
1) trail & error (available on this site through simulator without risking real $$$)
2) advice (available all over this board)
3) studying stock market and economics and why the stocks do what they do (also available on this site through the stock research center subforum)
