I own a (very) small business and a friend of mine told me that i should start a myspace website. I already have a website, so i am wondering, how many people look at myspace, and is it hard to make a myspacewebsite. I built my website in about 5 hours. Its not the best but it is functional. Any help would be great.

Myspace is easy. They have a predefined format, you fill in the box and voila instant myspace page. Or if you want a prebuilt custom page there are a ton of templates out there. Then if you want extra stuff there are an equally large amount of websites where you can just copy and paste codes to customize your page.

Just an educated guess, but I imagine about 90% of all life forms on earth visit myspace on a regular basis so building a jeepegs myspace page couldn't hurt, maybe.

Heres a myspace tip:
If your into bars/ clubs/ having fun, they all have myspace pages so if you want to get an occasional VIP without dropping 5 stacks then add all your favorite spots on myspace.

Everyone is on myspace.... individuals go for the 'social networking' aspect and businesses go for 'advertising'. I would say that it couldn't hurt to have a page for your business on there.... its easy to setup and FREE!

myspace is going to crash and burn under their own weight, the abusers of the system, the legal issues, all within two years. I predict that, anyway. Smile We'll see what happens.

I wouldn't be surprised. A large portion of all the "networking" is someone asking to be my friend and their bio is a link to nude pics or my friends accounts that get hacked and then start blasting out ads for 'male enhancement'.

I do dig the music support though. A lot of bands I would know nothing about if I had not stumbled across them on myspace.

All doom and gloom Dave Very Happy

I think it will have its issues, but I don't see it crashing anytime soon.

For now, its not a bad marketing tool... if you know how to use it correctly.

They have been improving their tools to keep the hackers out. About a year ago I remember looking at some people's pages and half of them had links that were phishing links (click on "Home" and it takes you to a logon page). I wonder how many accounts they got that way!

I remember browsing it on a freshly installed computer and one of the banner ads installed a pop-up program on my computer! I read about it in the news two whole days later as if it had just happened!

But now I haven't seen anything like that at all.

I recently deleted my account with myspace. I only created it because a friend asked me to. I really hated all the 19 year old "college girls" asking for friend requests to view their rip off webcam pages.
