Yes, but they are bad...

I am wondering what realistic plans GM has to pull itself out of the looming financial tailspin that has been dogging them and Ford the last couple of quarters.
The future of the auto industry lies in vehicles that run on alternative fuel sources. American companies are quite far behind foreign automakers in this regard, that I don't see how the long-term feasability of these companies is probable.
Maybe somebody knows something about GM that I'm missing. Please share!

Da ganews is dat the re-emergence ov da U.S. automakers hassa already begun. Cramer set da long term top in TM remember. F n GM could NEVER make it back until a top was set in TM....so let's all thank Cramer fo dat. Wink On the "not so bright side".....the upcoming labor negotiations will force Wall St to bring the stock price of both F n GM down well befo the nego-she-yayshuns begin in earnust in late summer. I wouldn touch GM or F until then. It'll be a bumpy ride but net net you will end up with a loss ifn ya buy either at current prices. Oh yeah Arrow Earnuns doan mattah! Laughing

While I own a few GM vehicles myself, I don't see great things moving forward for GM. It was only a week or two ago that Toyota over took GM as the worlds largest automaker (http://www.nytimes.com/2007/04/25/automobiles/25auto.html)

Of course, as I type this GM is up over 2.5% today...
