what are your thoughts on if AMD will return from the 12.00 range it now is? it has been in a steady decline for a little bit now, and my personal opinion is that it is undervalued. Reports I have seen indicate that they have had to borrow some money and will probably have a loss for the first two quarters. does it seem like now would be an okay time to get into it? or wait and see if it falls below 10 before it heads back up?

I am not going to comment on AMD stocks price but their next chip that they are releasing is not going to be compatiable with their current line. What this means is that current AMD users will not be able to upgrade to the newest stuff without replacing almost all of there computer stuff. There is an article about it here. http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,124857-page,1-c,motherboards/article.html

That kind of thing is bound to happen, its not very surprising at all. At the pace computers are on, that processor will be "out-of-date" within 2years of its release. Some fel its another way for companies like AMD to help out computer mfg's sell newer computers, when in fact, its the nature of the beast. Blame the gamers, lol.

My thoughts on undervalue: My personal opinion is that the chips they make are more stable at a lower cost than intel. the stock has historically traded more in the 20's, and there is suppost to be that new chip coming out that should boost things back up again.

Well, you analysis is not any better than Warrens. Evil or Very Mad Arrow You should consider AMD in september or august. For now, AMD is dead money for the bulls. If AMD proves succesful from august to January, I think INTC should buy NVDA.

Real simple TA on AMD which closed yesterday at 13.27. It put in a trend low at $13 dallahs last week. It confirmed dat low wit a lower low this week....and it left no signal on da chawt dat it needed ta go any lower....although no mattah how high it may go from heeeeeya Arrow it's coming back at sumtime in da future to take out this 52 week low it just set. Soooooo, afta da trend low at 13.00 was confirmed, AMD moved higher on news dat was ackchooly neggy. It traded to a 13.50 gapup opening high on Mon....confirmed it with a higher high later Mon and agin on Tue. Intrustingly enuff Arrow There is no signal on da chawt dat yesterday's high of 13.54 needs to go bye bye....just as there was no signal that it had to go lower than 12.60 once last week's 13.00 trend low was set. This is truly a battle betwixt buyers n sellers and my guess is dat da buyers win chort term. I am saying that becuz methinks da mawkets in genrul will stage a decent "sucker run" to get everyone in dat wants in. Ifn dat be the case then AMD can run to $16ish....but dat just be a guess based on da strength o'da rally. And da best pawt....here's how ya buy! Laughing Arrow Ideally you would want to see AMD retest support at $13, keep an open limit to buy at say 12.90. If it fails after you are in you have until 12.60 to decide ifn ya want out. Very Happy If on the udder hand AMD rallies from here...wait for 13.50 to be breached and then wait for a retest of 13.50. Even ifn AMD breaks out today...some mawket indicies have been up for 8 straight days....9 days in a row is rare....anything afta dat is a lock for some selling to ensue soon. That's when you'd buy AMD....on a "selling" days. Wink Oh yeah....ifn it rallies and makes it to only like 13.57 and then falls back balow 13.00 Arrow My guess is dat it will not be able ta git back abov 13.50 a seckond time. Very Happy
