I had a customer who used one of these the other day at work and he said that he earns a certain percentage of his purchases and they are applied to a savings bond. When he accumaulates a certain amount, then he receives savings bond(s) in the mail. Has anyone heard of this or knows where I can get one? Thanks!

I think of myself as a pretty good web surfer, but this was all I could come up with. It's discontinued it seems.

If you try Google, there is a bit of information about the credit card. It does not appear that the reward structure is that impressive. You get a $50 series EE savings bond for spending $2500. Series EE bonds are issued at 1/2 face value anyway. That is pretty much equal to a 1% rebate card. In addition to that, there also seems to be an annual fee of $37 per year. Other credit cards exist with better rewards.

The Citi Dividend Platinum Rewards Card gives 1% back for regular purchases and 5% back for drug stores, supermarkets, and gas stations. There is a $300 limit to the rebates, but no annual fee.

There exist many other cards as well.
