| 6 years ago, we sold our home by ourselves and saved $6,000. Not that we're expecting to sell anytime soon, but when we do, I'll definitely try it again. I can't justify paying a realtor more than I paid a doctor to bring my children into the world! |

| for some people fsbo is the way to go but when you list your home with an agent they provide a great deal of advising help and hundreds of dollars in advertising. And I don't know one high quality agent that takes a cut in there fee for a fsbo. Theses forums are full of people that are well educated(that KNOW EVERYTHING) but untill you have personally experienced the day in the life of a realtor you have no idea what it takes to do a professional job that is worth every penny of the % paid for their services. bring on the flames! |

| I have this house in my neighborhood thats been for sale the whole entire summer and still is for sale. FSBO It's a nice looking house it should of been sold but I think it's set at a ridiclous price and still is. Even thou it says Reduced price on the sign. Because all the other houses around here are getting sold within 2 months. Usually when I see FSBO it's usually a great price or a really bad price I havent seen them sell for around the average. |

Sho nuff Bbehr, and wait until da payments come due on da adjustable rate mortgage, looks like the home equity teller window be closing fast! amazing how similar Dubya's presidency is mirroring his dad's, it's almost as if Bush Sr. is still running things, gonna be some great opportunities in RE when they bring back the Resolution trust Company to take care of all the bad debt that's gonna need to come off da books of FNM, LEND, Countrywide Financial lend and scam the shareholders, that CEO from Countrywide even looks like a sheister, Jim Cramer did all he could do to get CNBC to get him in front of the investing public so they could keep the frenzy goin, now Cramer says RE is dead! I'm sure there will be a rebound in the homebuilders just cause he said it's dead, especially if the Fed decides to stand pat, but I feel sorry for the fokes he told to get out of TOL and into LEN just the same. |

I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum. I'll be buying a home in 6-8 mo. (which is truly frightening considering the coming rate jumps).
Where do FSBO's list? Just signs in the yard?
In other words: HELP.
Thanks. |

I am not a realtor, but I think your paying the commission for the network of potential customers they bring to the table... where a FSBO will get a small selected % of customers in from Newspaper, and yard signs.
Each has its own advantage, plus that $6k you saved wouldn't have gone to just 1 salesperson, it would have been devided between the Brokers in charge, the listing agent, and selling agent too... everyone gets a slice of that pie. |

There are 1,000's of For Sale By Owners on http://www.buyowner.com
Some are great deals and of course some are overpriced.
BuyOnwer even will do the agreement of sale, it's included in owner's advertising package. |

I would post your home on here.......and include links back to buyowner and/or the hoobly page. ON Hoobly you can upload a ton of pictures so maybe do that one first.
Do it this way....
more photos are at:
http://www.buyowner.com/property.asp?code=PHL2568
then if they click that link you get visitors, which hopefully leads to showings..
I did get replies from others too, especially Soggy Cracker, Voy and Craig's List.
Good luck!
