| The Senate overwhelmingly voted in support of increasing the minimum wage from $5.15 to $7.25 over the next two years. In the instance that this does become a federal law, what sectors of the market or what industries will be impacted the most from this decision? |

Well, at first it will be businesses whose employees are primarily hourly, then the rest of the economy will shift salaries over time to compensate so that hourly employees will still be a step below salaried, since that's the way most businesses like to keep it.
P.S.-I believe there is already a thread for this topic, so keeping it in the same one instead of multiple threads running around would be great next time.
