Is there any reason why the return numbers have been really buggy lately? It seems like everytime I come on, everyone is down 10-25%. I know the ultrashort strategy isn't working well, but its not doing that poorly... Rolling Eyes

Can we short stocks now this month?

A suggestion that could be quite handy for most of us: We should be able to have separate e$ accounts, one for your starting actual investment (initially e$5000) and the other for money you make from posting messages, winning challenges, etc. etc. One should be able to have the option to transfer money to and from these accounts as he pleases instead of e$ automatically being loaded to the initial investment account. The point of this is to conveniently know how much you actually made based on your stock purchases and not based on e$ made from posting or winnings from challenges. If someone just wants to start with e$5000 for his initial investment thruout the life of the account, one should be able to do so without adding any money to it automatically by posting messages. That's probably why quite a lot of members do not post at all.

Don't yell at me, but I didn't read all the posts since there was 11 pages of them, so I don't know if my idea was posted...

Anyway, it would be cool if you could have the option to automatically buy stocks, sorta like what sharebuilder.com does... You could enter how many stocks you want and how often you want the trade to occur, and if you run out of e$ then the auto trading is canceled, but you are notified that the auto trading stopped.

Just an idea, feel free to make changes if you decide to add it. Smile

I am new here...

Is there a tutorial available/reccommended that gives good sound advice on how to creat your first few trades. I.E. what to look for in trends, when should you buy/sell and whether it is a good idea to invest in an expensive stock (that is say over 40.00/share) or not

You can already sell partial shares. Is that what you were looking for?

What you can't currently do is combine two different purchases of the same holding into one position, and sell them together. You have to sell them separately.
