We are still working out the details and how best to work it into the forum, but keep your eyes open for a cash prizes competition using our Trading Simulator! It will be based on largest percentage growth for the given month.

So practice now, it may REALLY pay later!

As many forums as I have visited, eInvest's virtual portfolio is by far the best one. Why? Because you make your transactions so that noone can see them, in other forums you have to name a symbol of a stock that you predict will go up during the next month and once someone has already mentioned lets say KO you can't choose that one. And you can't do daytrading, you just have to choose one or more stocks that you virtually hold for a month.

the fact that you are not able to see the stocks in other einvestor.com portfolios i.e "no peek"... is certainly a distinguishing characteristic of einvesting.com and it should be preserved as you would preserve anything of great value.

of course, it may make sense for einvesting.com to ADD an additional fantasy competition at some point where the players will be able to see the other players portfolios to appeal to more sets of eyeballs, but it is my desire that the original concept of the "no peek" portfolios be maintained since it has some beneficial aspects to it not found in the open portfolio format.

We are considering at this time an option so for those who would like to make their portfolio public may do so with the click of a button. You would then be able to switch it from public to private at your own discretion.

This will allow others to check out your portfolio and give you their feedback either via a Private message or discuss it publicly in the forum.

This will most like be installed by next month among other improvements.

it would appear this may be a acceptable compromise.

as long as the choice whether the portfolio is public or private is left with each individual eInvesting participant.

this would appear to solve the problems associated with having two separate games. i believe your solution as i understand it to be a much more eloquent solution.
