I use IE, not sure what the big deal with Firefox is... anyone care to explain? I have both on my computer (they came preinstalled), but I'm a creature of habit and didn't think about using Firefox.

I use IE, also a creature of habit. From what I understand firefox is faster, crashes less, better interface etc etc. Basically its the mac of web browsers. Even though macs are better I still use PC's and IE and can't explain why.

I say the same thing. I just got a new computer (Dell laptop) a few weeks ago, and I never seriously considered getting something from Apple. In a few years when I get a new one, I'll see how Apple has integrated Microsoft Office (gotta be able to use Excel Wink ) and give them more consideration... especially since I heard Microsoft Vista is basically just flash without substance (the words of someone who saw a demo today).

firefox for sure! opera is 2nd...i dont even have IE on my computer now...haha IE is junk.

firefox is clean, safe, fast, and completely custom to what I want...the extensions, themes and add-ons are the main things i love. Live bookmarks, news reader, tabbed browsing, custom toolbars, etc...

plus there are extentions for just about any activity...firefox really has changed the web experience.

you may be a creature of habit, I know I am, but i guarantee that once you give firefox a solid try, and start playing and customizing, you will not want to go back to IE...plus you can import most of your IE settings and your bookmarks to firefox. The first thing you should do is check out the extensions and other add-ons.

Hi folks,

Principally use Netscape on this end, as IE is
absolute garbage by comparison .....

..... Firefox is merely a simplified version of
Netscape, with fewer features, so it does
run a bit faster.

happy days

Both Equally....both have advantages and dis advantages. Though FireFox is a bit buggy sometimes. IE is an integral part of XP. Ever try to to do a Windows Update with FireFox?

IMHO Firefox is faster but sometimes buggy.
