That's just the natural evolution of things. Check out the retail sector fo instunce. Last week was retail reporting week basically. You can check out da chawts of JCP, SHLD, ANF, even lowly WTSLA and see what they did in the 5 trading days into earnuns Very Happy Driving a stock price up into earnings happens alot. If they didn't drive da price up into earnuns, how could sumbody say, "I don't get it! This company just reported excellent earnings and now the price is falling!" Laughing

I saw the earnings as a mixed bag, mostly good. They beat expectations, the strategy seems good, everything is full speed ahead; but as you mentioned before, there has already been a run-up. They aren't exactly making money even though income is rockin. Should be a good 2-5 years. Plasmas are just about to lose the main LCD-Plasma competition; however, I see an LCD price war forming over the next year. While this will help Olevia in the long run as it is well positioned for a price war, profits may be hurt in the short term.

It'll be interesting to see what this thing does tomorrow. The cyclicals are about to drop again, but BRLC has (i say 'has') risen when the cyclicals have dropped lately.

We'll see.

I accidentally turned the above linked general discussion into a stock specific one, so I'm opening up a new one here in order to see if any of you'all have been following BRLC?

Last time I asked about it, the grimster predicted, "BRLC has unfinished bidness aaaall the way down near $1 dallah." It's over $3 now.

I see it headed to $6 fairly quickly, and eventually > $20 within 2 years.

Anyone?

Why doanchu step up fo da Reaper challenge?! BRLC now at 3.30. I'll give you a tawget 1.70 above and I'll take one 1.70 balow. If BRLC closes below 1.60 before it closes above $5 I win...vice versa fo you! Just lemme know if ya wanna play. Wink Embarassed Very Happy

Is there sum "majical" significance to that $5 dallah numba? And why would da Reaper make sho dat da bet wit Tekbubble was based on a "close" above $5? Is da Reaper the type of sly bastage that would take a sexy little beeeeyotch like Tekbubble out on da yacht after he built up her trust.....only to give her the "2 choices" once they was alone.....and waaaaay out there past where she could git back bafo da real sharks got her if she decided dat swimmin beat da udder option? Ooooooh my, would da Reaper really do such a thing?! Shocked Mad Confused

The only way it should git through $5 is if what I want to buy collapses into da close. If that happens I will make enough off da trade to pay Tekkie 10 times $1000 e$ by 10:30 AM EST on Mon! So I'm all for it. Very Happy

Yes, he survives another week. Surprising. Quizzickly confident he is too.

Canaccord Adams initiates coverage on Syntax-Brillian (Nasdaq: BRLC) with a Buy rating and $9 price target. Analyst Jonathan Dorsheimer said in LCD HDTV's, "Syntax-Brillian delivers tier-one features and quality at highly competitive tier-three pricing." Dorsheimer also said, "Additionally, the company maintains a dominant position with its LCoS solutions, which are appealing for rear projection HDTVs, particularly over 60", as well as the near-to-eye micro display markets."
