Hmmm....this is a veeery tough call at this point. I don't really follow the DOW as closely as I do da Naz....but I hasta assume the scenario is the same. Right now if da Naz trades through 2235 on this run the chances are better than good that it'll be waaaaay down come the end of 2006. On the udder hand....they can bring everything down a tad er 2 right cheeeya and then have stocks rally as energy prices continue to tumble into da election.....which to me seems like da logical choice. Confused Hmmmm....let's check da longer term chawt to see what she look like.....knowing that an AFC team won da Super Bowl and chances are not good that da DOW finishes above the Jan 1 starting point of course.....I mean....they couldn't possibly go wacko on dat indicator 2 years in a row....could they?!!! Shocked Laughing I'll make a wild-*** guess that da DOW finishes the year off at 10800...I think they will put Manny n da Nipulators to work to make sure that da DOW be rising into the election....and since there is probably very little chance that it can be rising into the election without a retracement foist methinks we will see a fall, a rally, and then a fall into year end as fokes start selling to free up losses fer tax poiposes. Very Happy

Sorry one more rule on this one.

Your pick has to be at least 10 points away from everyone else.

(So none of that price is right stuff where you bid $1 over someone else Wink )

1 or 10 is not a big deal. 25 or 50 is better spread. Also what if there is a tie? like two players bid exactly the negative or positive difference? Who wins?

Anyways, my bid is 11,920.01

I think if there is a tie we'll just have to award 2 prize packages. Cool

I must admit that I pay more attention to north of the border markets. But I do keep an eye on the DJIA and NASDAQ numbers. I really don't think it'll break 12K, not right now anyway. At the station I work for here in Canada, the broker from the firm I do the show with says that the US markets are in what he calls "Stagflation". He feels that it could get worse before it gets better for the DOW. Maybe I'm wrong, wouldn't be the first time and like I said, I pay more attention to Canadian stocks and mutual funds. Let me know what you think.
