Gold could drop significantly from these levels as it simply can not garner any momentum. Look for sub $600's over the next few weeks or so...

I'm not so sure physical gold won't rally to like $670 before it falls in earnest. It came awful close to getting above $670 on that last run and if it had made it I would have been alot more confident about a slamdunkarooney. The precious metal stocks are gonna get absolutely deeeestroyed though. Remember, based on the HUI/POG ratio the ideal buy time will come when the value on the HUI is low and the value of physical gold is relatively high. Long term buy zone will come at 30% or less as far as I'm concerned. Of course that ainna gonna happen until da Fed begins its loosening cycle. And that ainna gonna happen until da stock mawket goes through a serious tumble. Wink BTW, my tawget fo da HUI will be somewhere below 150!!! Shocked So based on that gold could hold the $450ish area as a low.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if gold rose to $650-660 before making a big move down. However, I wouldn't put my money on it. Thinking about buying some Jan 2009 puts on NEM if gold has any sucker's rally.

I'd go with a silver play. SSRI is a $5 stock in a year or 2. It is going to signal sell tomorrow and rally off that signal to $24.50 maybe? Or you can just wait until it breaks below 23.75 and then chort da rally up that will fail to get above 23.75. Wink

Gold looking weak. Should see sub $600 in a few weeks. After the metal dips below $600, it should have some decent sized drops there after and trade with high volatility.

Sub $600 here we come. I expect gold to trade side-ways a bit just under $600 before its big move down.

Oh yeah BABEEEEEEE! Watch me woik my majic! Wink Interestingly enough....the HUI/POGratio has risen to 54%!!! Shocked So even with this across da bored fall the goldpig stocks have actually gotten more expensive! WOW! Which leads me to my survey.

Who is more clueless?
A. Jim Cramer
B. Da Fast Muny Flunkies
C. The dynamic duo (Eric's Balding n Phil "mushmouth" Flynn
D. Goldbugs

Perhaps the toughest survey ever initiated anywhere I realize....but vote now and vote often. Laughing

E. All of the above and then some!
No way should gold even be at $500 the fools that buy in are going to get crushed!
If a war broke out in the middle east that threatened oil shipments, gold will go through the roof. Not because of supply just speculation. This is all that drives gold. IMHO Very Happy

HUI/POG ratio above 55% at yesterday's close. It is now safe to enter long term chort positons with confidunce and add to them on strength. SSRI, my silver pig play made it through 24.50 too! Saaaweeeeeeet! Very Happy
