Just two I can think of that are below $10. And each pay about $0.035 a share per month. |

The great thing about dividend stocks is that most of them are in sectors where stock prices have increased to nosebleed levels (oil and gas) so the dividends should be safe for awhile, and I think it was really sweet of company mgmt in those companies to increase dividends since our elected o-fish-als decided to award these companies some taxpayer money so that they can spend that instead of using corporate profits to explore for more sources of energy in the case of the oils, that way the windfall in profits can be used to increase dividends and buy out other grossly overvalued competitors, dividend paying stocks are great investments for those who plan on holding for the very long term, that way when you lose 50-80% of your initial investment that you made to buy the stock in order to get the dividend you can take comfort in knowing that the dividend will still be there eventually the dividend will be reduced but it really shouldn't matter, in the end you can simply transfer the stock to your heirs, take the tax loss write off and use the funds to pay for your funeral expenses since the ave 40 year old will be approaching the end of the expected human lifespan before the dividend finally is eliminated and the stock is trading at multi multi multi year lows, and of course your heirs will be establishing a tax base at a very low price level on the stock transfer, yes yes indeed! dividend paying stocks sound like an excellent long term plan under current market conditions |

CLM .087 monthly dividend large cap cost today: $7.51
CFD .06125 monthly div cost today: $9.36
AMY .0414 monthly div mid/small cap cost today: $7.02
HYF .045 monthly div fixed income cost today: $4.92
HYB .0175 monthly div fixed income cost today: $2.19
The way I look at it....if you're looking for dividends, look at the long haul and set them up as a DRIP....... |

| But, can you set any of those stocks up as a drip? Out of those stocks that you have just listed can you set up a drip out of any of those? |

BAC is one of my favorites too, as well as WFC. Though drifting off topic, because the threads is about monthly dividend stock. |

| I was wondering how those individuals who thought BAC was such a good stock feel about it now - - - that the sub-prime meltdown has shown they were involved. I was going to say after the sub-prime meltdown but it isn't over yet - not by a long shot. |

I don't know about those specific companies or what agent they use for direct purchase and DRiP. But some brokers can psuedo DRiP any stock. For example I know that Fidelity does not charge anything to DRiP dividends into more shares. |
