Has anyone here ever purchased a "new construction" home (not even built yet)- put a down payment down and waited the 2 years or so before the home is built to get possession. A lot of people I know do this- and by the time the home is built a couple of years later, the prices have gone up and the house is sold for a nice profit. I guess it works well as long as real estate is on the rise...any thoughts?
