Snapplekid13's Riddle Mania! Twisted Evil Evil or Very Mad Twisted Evil Evil or Very Mad

OK I'll give you a riddle and you guys have to get it right. The person that does get it right wins e$500 ( don't be surprised if i up the ante in the future )

Riddle #1: What Happened to the extra dollar?

After a late-night soccer game, three players were too tired to drive home. They decided to rent a motel room for $60.00 so they could get a good night's sleep. Each Player paid $20.00. After thy had gone to their room the manager realized that he overcharged them $5.00!!! He gave the bellboy $5.00 and told him to give the money back to the men. On the way to their room, the bellboy realized that the $5.00 could not be divided evenly among the three men. He decided to give each man one dollar back and keep $2.00 for himself. ( What a selfish loser!!! )

At this point each man paid $20.00 and got $1.00 back. So they paid $19.00 each. If you multiply $19.00 times three you get $57.00. Add to this the $2.00 the bellboy kept and you get a total of $59.00. What happened to the extra dollar? Question

If you get this right you win e$500! Twisted Evil Evil or Very Mad

Each person paid $19, totalling $57. The manager has $55 and the bellboy $2. The bellboy's $2 should be added to the manager's $55 or subtracted from the tenants' $57, not added to the tenants' $57.

The dollar didn't go anywhere. There is no missing dollar. It's an old riddle. You can do an internet search for "missing dollar riddle" and find it all over the place. The illusion of a missing dollar is created by through misdirection.

I answered your riddle correctly. If you don't want to pay up, that's your business.

There is no missing dollar.
A dollar was given back to each. Therefore, they paid $57.00 for the room, NOT the original $60.00.
So where is the $57.00?
Manager has $55.00 + bellboy tiped himself $2.00 = $57.00

Very Happy Google "My first is in bridge but not in ridge" with the quotes and you can even use the "I'm feeling lucky" button. There's a few good riddles on that site.

Now I'm wishing I had posted the answer when I looked it up... Laughing
