I think we need to start an archive of former MotM (Members of the Month) somewhere. In any case, May is almost over so I thought I would open a new thread for nominations for Member of the Month for May. There is an e$ bonus (I forget how much, Ben can chime in and post) and a spiffy member of the month medal displayed by your name for a while.
Last month StatTrader (Tom) and vetelmo shared member of the month status for the first time. Other members of the month include Im Not Warren Buffett (I think), Grimreaper, JD, nelaina (again, I think this is correct, nelaina can you confirm?) and myself. That's not everyone, so if you were a former MotM please post your name.
I think the Member of the Month should have been reasonably active for the prior month (say, 10 posts?) and should be recognized for contributing to the community. For that reason, this month I nominate yogi-in-oz for his interesting and unusual approach to the market. It's still interesting to read and adds a certain distinction to the site.
*Edit, made this an announcement*

I think yogi is a good nomination but just to keep things interesting I would like to nominate DKnightSr, his selfless acts of kindness and humor add a special twist to the character of einvesting.
I lost my eagle somewhere but I am a motm alumni |

| Ok, then I'll put his name in for May. StatTrader donates pro bono what looks to be hours and hours of work to our group. I don't always understand ALL of it, but even I get enough to find it very useful. Hat's off to a true professional, and a real team player. Though we have some AWESOME folks contributing here, this gentleman has truly walked the extra mile for us. |

June hasn't happened yet... how can you nominate someone for something they haven't done yet? |

I concur with NewB- If ever we've had a time, and a participant, for dual back to back MOM's.... this is it. Even the Consitution of the United States has been amended many times. Why carve the "only one time" in stone?
The amount of research, statistics, and variables that this man wraps up in a nice neat package would cost you a TON in the real world!!! Been there done that, bought the T-Shirt! In case you haven't been to Tom's website- He charges $100 @ month for this kind of stuff!
Let the voice of the people be heard! A forum by definition is a gathering place for all voices, but some are worth listening to more than others. My vote's STILL for Tom!!! (Anybody know how to do a write in ballot on a SIM? ) |
